Rockpore is proud to be part of the Cirkwind-Horizon Europe project, a groundbreaking €4M initiative dedicated to developing circular material solutions for wind turbine blades and support structures.
As a key consortium partner, Rockpore is pioneering the development of a circular geopolymer concrete substructure for wind turbines. This innovation is powered by our patent-pending CLWA (Circular Lightweight Aggregates)—a sustainable aggregate produced from waste materials sourced from the solar energy, concrete, and mining industries.
Our technology enables a new circular pathway for recycled photovoltaic (PV) glass, transforming waste into high-performance structural materials. By integrating CLWA into geopolymer concrete, we contribute to a more sustainable wind energy sector, reducing reliance on virgin resources while promoting low-carbon and fully recyclable solutions.
This project represents a significant step in the green transition, demonstrating how waste streams can be upcycled into critical infrastructure for renewable energy.
