Icelith ehf develops a proprietary mineral-based surface treatment engineered to enhance the performance and durability of Rockpore’s Arctic aggregates.
Formed through controlled thermal reactions of industrial by-products, Icelith creates a fine, synthetic calcium–silicate mineral layer that bonds strongly to the aggregate surface. This layer improves mechanical strength, water resistance, and COâ‚‚ reactivity, enabling the concrete to sequester carbon over time while maintaining long-term stability.
Applied during production, the Icelith coating seals the aggregate surface, reduces water absorption, and enhances the bond with cementitious binders — resulting in stronger, more durable, and lower-emission concrete structures.
